Wildflower Ride of San Antonio As the Texas landscape is covered with wildflowers in April where better to ride then the trails of San Antonio? For the second year in a row we packed up and headed to San Antonio to ride the Salado Creek and Mission Trails. Each is described below. Everything is better with Bluebonnets on it! Salado Creek Trail on the east side of San Antonio runs adjacent to the KOA on Grembler Road and weather was tent-camping perfect. The trail runs north to south about 11 miles mostly through forested areas with junctions at several city parks. After arriving in San Antonio and setting up camp we took to the trail in the late afternoon. Its a lovely trail with smooth pavement that runs along Salado Creek with a few hills and turns along the way. A few pedestrians and bikes made it feel like we had the trail to ourselves.
Mission Trail ride was recorded on Google My Tracks with the following details: Start/End: Blue Star
